Pretty, but gritty, Chinese drama from accalimed director Zhang Yimou. In this one, a city 'suit' (Sun Honglei) returns to his rural home for his father's funeral, prompting flashbacks about his the early life of his parents (played by Zheng Hao and Zhang Ziyi), which was threatened by social taboos and politics. It's fascinating, but slightly heavy-going.
