Three years after a massive explosion at an Alaska oil refinery sets off a deadly avalanche, an environment inspector (Caroleen Feeney) becomes convinced that a new pipeline now makes the possibility of avalanches even greater. She faces a race against time with a local pilot (Thomas Ian Griffith) to stop a snowfall that threatens to destroy the entire town of Point Hope.
