Spry single dad Kyle MacLachlan and his son Joseph Cross go camping and find a town whose inhabitants enjoy eternal youth - thanks to the odd properties of the local spring - well the town's called Springville, for goodness sake! MacLachlan's a nice, dependable sort of actor, and this reasonably eerie fantasy TV movie gets a little bit of new mileage out of its old set-up. But the plotline is so cheesy and illogical, yet unsurprising, that you'll have to be a die-hard sci-fi buff to stay watching. You wouldn't want to pay to see it, but it's OK fare for insomniacs. Co-starring is Clint Eastwood's daughter Alison and George Eads (Nick in the popular forensic series CSI).
