There's a rather neat idea behind this quirky little film - it's base rather broadly on Don Quixote. Donovan Quick (Colin Firth) arrives at a small Scottish town and lodges in a ramshackle house owned by Lucy (Katy Murphy) who has to look after her dotty gran (Liz Smith) and mentally retarded brother Sandy (David Brown). When Sandy can't get to his special school because Windmill Transport have cancelled his train, Donovan leaps into action. He buys a bus and starts his own pay-what-you-can bus service. Directed by David (The Lakes) Blair, this is an enjoyable tale well told and Frith and Murphy head a fine cast that works well together. Good fun and worth watching.
