Edie Falco (from TV's The Sopranos) and Madeline Kahn (in her last screen role) star in this off-kilter family drama spanning only a day in the life of a Long Island Jewish family during an eclipse of the sun. Falco is Judy Berlin, who wants to be an actress, while her mother (Barbara Barrie) is in love with a man who's not her husband. Amusing and moving in turn.
