Tia Carrere's plunging career hits a new low in this comedy fantasy-adventure, as a mad scientist resolved to restore Camelot bad guy Mordred, confined to the medieval underworld by Merlin's spells, to his rightful place in - er - society.
Meanwhile Arthur (Patrick Bergin) and his merrie men have broken free of a similar spell and are rushing about the English (actually South African) countryside attacking chemical tankers.
Even as a kids' teatime TV show this would be a hoot, though strangely it has some impressive special effects, notably the lethal 'skeleton ghosts' of those who have slithered through a time portal.
Highlander star Adrian Paul's convoluted accent is the most agonising turn, almost making Julie Hartley's Guinevere look good.
But then any film whose best performance comes from Rik Mayall (as Merlin) is in very deep trouble from the start.
