Marshall made his big screen breakthrough playing The Most Fertile Man in Ireland opposite James Nesbitt and Kathy Kiera Clarke.
Up till then he had best been known as Robert Lindsay's slacker son in the BBC sitcom My Family.
He also had major roles in the movie Dead Babies as well as smaller credits in TV work such as Metropolis and The Bill.
Marshall attended the Redroof Stage School and theatre work has included Invention of Love in London's West End and Happy Savages at The Lyric, Hammersmith.
Other film credits include Rumblewood, Make Believe, 5 Seconds to Spare and Closing Numbers with Jane Asher and Tim Woodward.
