Little Kanin (Cameron Finlay) loses his father to cancer. His self-esteem takes a dive and it seems he's lost in his lonely sad world, but the irascible little league baseball coach (Ed Asner) takes him in hand and soon the boy finds his niche. A simple tale with a message that everyone belongs somewhere is put across too simply for adults, but children will probably sit through it happily.
