Although made for TV, this period mystery drama is well played and makes for good viewing. Two boys, one black (Cody Newton), one white (Dwayne McLaughlin), spend an idyllic summer in 1949 filling their heads with the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn and set off on a rafting trip. But before long they stumble across three dead bodies. And when local Sheriff Dead Cain takes up the case, his investigations comes up against a wall of silence from the townsfolk. An intriguing crime drama.
