Based on the Desmond Bagley adventure, this is a King Solomon's Mines-type story set around a mysterious map and the hunt for an undiscovered city. When insurance agent James Wheeler (Robert Patrick) responds to a desperate call from his brother to bring a priceless antique tray down to Costa Rica he discovers, on arrival, that he has been murdered. Wheeler is approached by a beautiful archaeologist (Chiara Caselli) who tells him that the tray is a map leading to a lost city and endless riches. But rather than surrender the tray, Wheeler decides to go in search of the treasure. However, his brother's killers are not far behind. The idea, though familiar, is not a bad one but the poor production values let the whole thing down.
