Derek Hayes

The rather versatile Mr Hayes has worked his way to directing over 30 years in the business.

He's been an editor, writer, animator and director on numerous projects.

Derek's most high profile work has been animated features for Welsh company S4C, like The Miracle Maker, a UK/Russian co-production, starring Ralph Fiennes as Jesus Christ.

Derek brought together a stellar cast for the re-telling of the story of Jesus' life: Julie Christie, Richard E. Grant, William Hurt, Alfred Molina and Miranda Richardson as Mary Magdalene.

His folky animation style and sensitive hand led to the call to helm OtherWorld, an animated film of the Tales of the Mabinogi, a series of legendary 6th Century Welsh myths.
