Ann-Margret gives a star turn as a woman obsessed with TV crime series who nastily implicates her violent lover in a murder. She follows the detectives on the case (Henry Thomas and CSI's Marg Helgenberger) and re-interprets their clues to suit her plan. Then she ends up in prison for the crime herself... until it emerges from another murder that the real killer's still around, leaving his calling-card, a happy face. Some interesting ideas, otherwise, this TV thriller doesn't add up to too much.
