Two best friends living in London find themselves battling wits with criminals when they overhear a bank robbery going down, and decide to turn the tables on the criminals by extorting some money for themselves.

Frances (McCormack) is an American actress struggling to make ends meet, and Shannon (Driver) is a nurse. When they decide to take matters into their own hands little do they realise the determination of these hardened criminals.

Responding at first to the girls' demands, the leaders of the gang of robbers (Kevin McNally and Michael Gambon) soon start to play dirty tricks, faking bundles of money and threatening violence in an effort to throw the two women off course.

When the blackmail and counter-attacks hurt an innocent bystander, the two girls must decide whether to run for their lives or give the thugs a run for their money.

This British comedy is filled with criminals, girl power, thrills, laughs and what director Mel Smith refers to as "good old-fashioned, feel-good capers". A fun alternative to the typical British gangster flicks like Snatch and Lock, Stock.
