Ladies and the Champ

Comedy starring Olympia Dukakis and Marion Ross as two elderly women who take a young criminal under their wing and try to transform him into a champion boxer. With David DeLuise.

Two pensioners, Sara (Olympia Dukakis) and Margaret (Marion Ross - Mrs Cunningham from TV's Happy Days), discover a new meaning in their lives as they embark on converting a street thug (David DeLuise) into a champion prizefighter. This doesn't sound too promising and so it proves, emerging as a so-so TV movie that sadly doesn't carry any sort of emotional impact. Good script might have made a difference.
