There are some poignant moments in this drama, though its theme is these days not new. A brilliant 17-year-old scholar, who also has prospects as a sportsman, is suddenly confronted by his 67-year-old older self. Together the two fight to avert compromises that ruined a promising life. Robert Loggia is typically good as the older man, but newcomer Ean Mering is less convincing as his younger self, in a film that promises more than it's finally able to deliver.
