Distinguished actress Vanessa Redgrave makes a rare visit to the world of TV movies (her only previous appearance was in Playing for Time in 1980) in this dramatic film. She is very much the pivotal figure in a story of a wife and mother whose new pregnancy involves her in having to make a shattering decision. The film was made by Marvin Chomsky, who has become a noted and quite prolific director of television films, generally of more serious nature. A young Sarah Jessica Parker has a minor part in this one, while veteran Jack Albertson's touching performance in his last acting role won him an Emmy nomination.
