A rare romantic comedy for the great Bette Davis, this film re-teams her with Leslie Howard after their success together in 'The Petrified Forest'. Davis and Howard play feuding Broadway stars, with Olivia de Havilland forming the third point of the embattled triangle as the heiress who develops a crush on Howard's tarnished matinee idol. Casey Robinson's script is full of barbed wisecracks and wry-faced Eric Blore almost steals the show as (inevitably) a gentleman's gentleman.
