A slick British thriller which is okay - even if it strains credulity - when it stops being pseudo-American. It was the first film adapted by J Lee-Thompson who adapted the screenplay from his own stage success. A few years later, he had made his name with such films as 'Ice-Cold in Alex' and 'Tiger Bay'. Here, Dennis Price is suave and sinister as a blackmailer.
