If you like car crashes and hectic two-wheels-off-the-ground chases, there's plenty for you in this crime thriller. Joe Don Baker, from the TV police series Chief of Detectives, makes a beefy private-eye hero, and Tyne Daly, now well known in another TV police drama, Cagney and Lacey, is personable as his policewoman partner in the hunt for a skilful car thief that turns into a drug-trafficking and murder investigation as well. Fans of noted Hollywood character actors will welcome such names as Robert Loggia, Richard Jaeckel, Timothy Carey and James Griffith in supporting roles, while Lana Wood, sister of Natalie, makes a brief impression as a delectable lady who is surely the cinema's most spectacularly beautiful psychic.
