Annie Tresgot's acclaimed documentary portrait of director Billy Wilder, made while he was shooting Buddy Buddy in 1980, and winner of plaudits at the Cannes, Edinburgh and London film festivals. Unfortunately the film itself proved one of Wilder's few duds, but not so this affectionate portrait of its maker.
