Stories of underdogs battling against the odds have always made surefire movie entertainment. In this case, the little guys are farmers battling against the giant power companies to prevent a million volts' worth of electricity being run across their land. Director Dick Lowry (who also made the wistful A Few Days at Weasel Creek) milks the emotive values of this sutuation for all they're worth, although the ending does seem to be a bit of a cop-out.
