John Wayne came to Britain to make this tough crime drama in which he's a Chicago cop who barges into London with extradition papers for a top mobster. Blazing action scenes mix with some amusing dialogue as Wayne rides roughshod over the Brits. It's a pity it's so slack and clumsy as a thriller but there's a hectic climactic car chase over a half-open Tower Bridge. Among the ill-at-ease Brits, Richard Attenborough is a Scotland Yard detective and Judy Geeson is a young policewoman.
