The commercial feature film debut, as both writer and director, of National Film School graduate Brian Gilbert. It is an ironic comedy of manners centred on the misunderstandings and double motives from which a relationship develops between a young English teacher obsessed with science-fiction and the daughter of his favourite sci-fi writer. The young lovers are played by Michael Maloney, who made an auspicious television debut playing Peter Barkworth's son in 'Telford's Change', and Suzanne Burden, best known for her performance as Cressida in the TV production of 'Troilus and Cressida'.
