Tony Franciosa plays a magazine's investiagtive reporter combing the big city for a call girl's killer. Expertly handled TV thriller is based on a script for an old Alan Ladd film called Chicago Deadline, and now given a useful workover and spruce-up. There's plenty of corrupt atmosphere and suitably shifty charcaters (impersonated by a good catch of Sixties worthies) in a reliably entertaining TV movie that formed the pilot for the long-running series The Name of the Game.
