Is it a thriller? Is it a romance? Is it a fantasy? No, it's an Antonioni, and it probably (you must make up your own minds) contains elements of all three. The director himself gave away jigsaw puzzles with the press kit when the film was successfully shown at the Cannes Film Festival and that neatly sums up a superbly-made film full of seemingly obscure little details.
