Roddy McDowall heads the cast in this exciting chiller thriller, about a mass of psychic phenomena let loose in a haunted house. A dying millionaire offers physicist Clive Revill $100,000 to investigate the strange goings-on in the mansion of Michael Gough, where several psychic investigators have met their maker. The physicist not only agrees but decides to take his wife (Gayle Hunnicutt), a medium (Pamela Franklin) and a sole survivor of previous investigations (McDowell) along for the (ghost) ride. Things are kept pretty scary from then on, but the film hasn't quite got the grip of the similarly themed (and better) spine-chiller, The Haunting.
