Charlie Chaplin's last short film, this contains a marvellous sequence of comic events that begins when workman Charlie staggers home drunk in the pouring rain.
A model of how to sustain this sort of thing, full of brilliantly inventive comedy and a funny turn by huge Mack Swain, Chaplin's famous adversary ion the later classic The Gold Rush.
A shame that Chaplin felt compelled after this to go over to features entirely.
