The third of Richard Mason's bitter-sweet romantic novels to be put on the screen, following The Wind Cannot Read (the best of the trio) and Passionate Summer. The Hong Kong location work is terrific but there's lacklustre acting from stars William Holden and Nancy Kwan as the American artist and the hooker for whom he falls.
