A drama of willpower and the urge to survive, this is the true story (based on her book) of Lauren Elder who, with two companions, was involved in a plane crash in a mountainous region of California. Blair Brown has the task of re-enacting Elder's extraordinary effort to survive a treacherous 36-hour journey down the mountain. Although too low-key in its treatment, the film itself survives thanks to the fact that Brown is strong at conveying emotions to her audience, and that this really happened.
