Coogan's Bluff

This rough-and-tumble Clint Eastwood cop thriller, containing some really excitingly-shot chase sequences, can be seen now as a kind of dry run for Dennis Weaver's popular McCloud TV series in the Seventies.

Eastwood is Walt Coogan, the Arizona cop dispatched to New York City to collect a felon, Ringerman.

But, of course, Coogan gets more than he bargained for.

This is good action fare, with Don Stroud outstanding as Ringerman and Tisha Sterling (as Ringerman's girlfriend) also shining in the strong supporting cast.
