Enticing vintage film about prison life, featuring a really splendid cast. Glenn Ford has the hero's part as a man sent to prison for a killing-accidental of course, as any fan of Mr Ford's will assume. Broderick Crawford plays the prison governor and Millard Mitchell gives one of his inimitable character portrayals as a `con'.
