The spectacular special effects are both the highpoints and the raison d'être of this Brian De Palma bloodbath, about two young people with the power to move objects by telepathy. The idea of the bad guys is to use them as weapons in international mercenary warfare. The 'fury' is the destructive forces the two can unleash to literally blow their enemies apart, and director De Palma sees to it that they have plenty of occasion to use them. Kirk Douglas, John Cassavetes and Amy Irving battle to inject personality into the pyrotechnic mayhem. Look out for an 18-year-old Daryl Hannah, who makes her film debut in a small role.
