A rare and welcome television airing for this smartly-written comedy about country bumpkins 'at the mercy' of city slickers. It was one of the films that helped establish director Richard Fleischer's reputation as a young film-maker capable of handling all types of story. The funny screenplay by Carl Foreman and Herbert Baker is based on Ring Lardner's Runyonesque novel The Big Town.
