Taking over Yul Brynner's old role as hero Chris, George Kennedy is unexpectedly lithe and forceful, while the other gunfighters are well etched and the climax is thrilling. A World War Two veteran, 6' 4" tall Kennedy ¿ still working in his eighties ¿ has had over 200 roles on film and in TV series.
