The old film maxim 'Never act with children or animals' seems not to have scared Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg.
Otherwise, none of them would have taken on this airy romp about three macho bachelors in their thirties who get landed with a baby girl by Danson's decamping ex-mistress.
Selleck and Guttenberg look after the infant while Danson's away and soon become doting foster-fathers, handling more nappies than women.
Fortunately, this somewhat gooey narrative is injected with a subplot involving drugs which supplies some much-needed action and variation in theme.
The three stars all have their moments in a tolerable toddle through triteness that turned into a bundle of box-office joy for its producers.
