The Vietnam combat zone is the setting for this old-fashioned buddy-buddy action picture, with the easy-going news photographers sharing in the type of exploits essayed in the newsreel adventure movies of the Thirties. A detour to Bangkok halfway through rather dissipates the carefully wrought atmosphere, but there are still elements to enjoy in the fast-paced narrative, acted with gusto by a refreshingly unfamiliar cast.
