Flint-edged romance about a millionaire's mistress (Sophia Loren) who falls in love with a young soldier (Tab Hunter). Sidney Lumet directed this clinical look at love with a sure-eye for detail. And there are some amusingly realistic situations and dialogue involving the soldier's pal, Kelly, extremely effectively played by character actor Jack Warden.
