Daisy Miller

Cybill Shepherd stars in Peter Bogdanovich's elegant adaptation of Henry James' celebrated novella as the young American ingenue negotiating the treacherous waters of 19th-century European society. Having made The Last Picture Show together, the off-screen side of the star-director relationship somewhat overshadowed this film's release.
