If you fancy a happy film, cheekily well made, this little known Burt Reynolds romp will fill the bill. The star is at his most relaxed as WW Bright, a con-man and small-time bandit who figures he can make more money by managing delectable singer Dixie (Conny Van Dyke) and her country and western 'Dancekings' than he can robbing small filling stations belonging to SOS, the firm for which he used to work. Vut the SOS law enforcement officer, the Bible-spouting Deacon Gore (Art Carney) is hot on WW's tail. And thereby hangs a tale - the entire tale, in fact, of this homespun, jogalong comedy with a few mildly rude moments which shouldn't trouble family viewers too much.
