'Every time we find a stiff, you're around.' This snatch of Forties-style dialogue gives you an idea of what to expect from this confusing and poorly acted cloak-and-dagger story.
It starts off well enough as a routine tough thriller, but long before the end you're left wondering just what's going on, and why they keep showing the same clip of film at the drive-in movie where a 'drop' is being made.
Mark this down as being for hardened Charles Bronson and Jacqueline Bisset fans only, despite a good cast (which has Elisha Cook, Daniel J Travanti, Robert Englund, Jeff Goldblum and Michael Lerner in brief roles) and a surging music score by Lalo Schifrin.
