There's monkey business here all right, and it's no joke. A mad scientist (well, hopped-up on drugs) is injecting human brain serum into monkeys, but goes too far with Ella, one Capuchin that he gives as helper to quadriplegic Alan (Beghe), rendered near helpless in a road accident. All goes well at first, with the beast even learning to work the telephone. Trouble is, the scientist keeps up the dosage and the monkey, forming some kind of mind bond with her wheelchaired master, acts out his deepest hate desires, like wanting to dispose of the girlfriend who left him for, of all people, the surgeon who operated after the accident. Murder and mayhem follow in a film that gets progressively more exciting towards the end, when nail-biters may be down to the quick.
