Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan star in this hugely enjoyable, offbeat romantic comedy as the couple for whom (at college) it's indifference at first sight. This mutual non-attraction is followed by an on-off 12-year period as friends, despite his assertion that 'men and women can't be friends, because sex always gets in the way'. The script crackles with wit, there's a great soundtrack of classic songs and it's super entertainment. Ryan's famous 'fake orgasm' scene in a restaurant is the funniest thing in the film.
