Danny DeVito makes his feature film directing debut with this delightful black romp that's sparked by a lovely idea. Failed writer Billy Crystal hates his wife, so his dimwit friend, DeVito, comes up with the idea of a 'swap' murder after watching Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train. DeVito and Crystal give it their all and Anne Ramsey is wonderful as DeVito's ogre of a momma. Oprah Winfrey makes a brief appearance as herself.
