Almost every black actor in late Eighties Hollywood seems to appear in this rude but funny Eddie Murphy comedy about an African prince who travels to the Queens district of New York - where else? - to find a bride.
It's directed by John Landis, who steered Murphy to success in 'Trading Places'. The adult script is peppered with risqué one-liners and there's some nudity. But by far the greatest fun is to be had trying to spot the different characters played by Murphy and Arsenio Hall.
The make-up is by Rick Baker, who won an Oscar for the special effects in Landis's 'An American Werewolf in London', and the best has Murphy as an elderly white Jew.
The opening titles capture the fun element as the camera zooms in on the Paramount mountain logo and continues into the jungle below to Murphy's homeland.
ER regular Eriq La Salle is in the supporting cast and Pulp Fiction star Samuel L Jackson rocks up in a small but explosive role!
