Wonderful cast, shame about the film. What Robert Greenwald's lazy-paced romantic drama needs above all to make it work are pace and background music. And it doesn't have either. Susan Sarandon is just marvellous - but this story of college sweethearts struggling to keep their marriage alive after 15 years is pretty boring stuff. The dialogue is uneven and the action and situations that arise from the overgrown schoolboy pranks played by Don Johnson and Jeff Daniels are just not made the most of.
