A distinctly slow-burning pilot film that never made it to a full-blown series. Director Robert Collins has been on better form (his previous film was the triple-Emmy-nominated Gideon's Trumpet, starring Henry Fonda), but at least he has a good cast to work with. Godfather-inspired, this tale of treachery and revenge ends just as it starts to get into top gear. David Morse (Dr Jack Morrison in the medical drama St Elsewhere) makes most impact as the family dropout.
