One of his last films, John Wayne plays a Seattle police detective out for vengeance on the gangster who killed his buddy. With its ragbag of narcotics, corruption and shotguns, this plain man's thriller rambles a bit, but it has plenty of plot and the identity of the baddie is well disguised.
