Never shown in this country's cinemas, this is one of the more recent offerings from crash-'em-up race-and-chase specialist director Hal Needham who made the Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit films. Burt Reynolds is again on hand with his laid-back charm, this time as a stock car driver who at one time turns up in a chicken suit - well in context with the film's cartoon-like structure and standard 'good ol' boy' hijinks.
