Harmless, well-photographed story of the friendship between a boy and a bear. Dennis Weaver lends his customary authority to the role of the boy's father, but the principal interest for film fans will lie in the appearance of Huntz Hall, once famous as the gormless Satch in the Bowery comedy films. The film was made by James Neilson, a former war photographer who turned motion picture director. He became associated particularly with family entertaiment films for Walt Disney, including Summer Magic, Bon Voyage and The Moon-Spinners.
