Various rockstars such as Mick Jagger and Paul Simon appear as themselves, alongside the likes of Bill Murray, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Ron Wood, Michael Palin and a certain George Harrison.

For the most part its more clever than funny and some of the parodies are so similar to the Beatles that its reminiscent of French and Saunders - i.e. not actually funny as the only joke is how much they look like the butt of their joke! That said, some of the comedy is inspired and its a film you should watch again to get all the gags.
